A private pilot may log PIC time when:
A.
They are the sole occupant of the aircraft or when they are the acting PIC with a safety pilot aboard for simulated instrument flight
B.
Any time they are seated in the left seat regardless of who is flying
C.
They have sole manipulative control of the controls at all times during the flight
